Introduction

The Light House is a detached contemporary house with guest accommodation located on the ground floor and the owner’s accommodation on the 1^st floor. The house is located on the seaward side of Carbis Bay, Cornwall, above Carbis Bay Beach and the South West Coastal Path. There is a parking area to the front of the house with space for one car per room. We aim to meet the needs of all of our guests, guests with limited mobility or wheelchair users please contact us to discuss your specific needs and ensure we are able to accommodate you in comfort.

The Light House is located on a level road with a moderately steep walk with steps down to the beach, via the coastal path.

All three guests rooms are located on the ground floor. Two bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, one bedroom has a private bathroom adjacent to the room. All rooms have king size beds.

The Light House is located on a road just off the main road into St Ives with easy access by car.

The nearest beach is Carbis Bay and is located 1000 metres away.

The main centre of St Ives is located 1 ½ miles away.
The nearest shop is the supermarket (Tesco) which is located 400 metres away.
The bus stop into St Ives or out to Penzance or Truro is located 250 metres away.
The Carbis Bay train station is located 1000 metres away.

The house has gas central heating.
The duvets and pillows are duck down and feather with quality bed linen and towels.
All beds have mattress and pillow protectors.
The house is strictly non-smoking.
There are mains smoke detectors and a fire procedure in place.
There is WI-FI internet access.
Downlighters and lamps are used in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Arrival and car parking facilities

Please be advised that check-in time is between 4-6pm.
Directions will be sent out with a booking confirmation letter.
We have a comprehensive information folder and plenty of leaflets on local attractions.

Accommodation

The downstairs entrance has no steps but a small lip and leads into the tiled hallway.
The width of the external entrance door is 80cm, the internal door widths are 71cm.
All bedrooms are carpeted and the bathroom and shower rooms are tiled.
From the hallway there are doors into three bedrooms and one bathroom.
All bedrooms have privacy blinds and fully lined curtains. The bathroom has a blind.
Two bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with enclosed power shower with 17cm step up into shower, WC, towel rail, hand basin with mirror and light with shaver socket over. All three bedrooms have king size beds, two bedside tables, two bedside lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobe, two tub chairs, occasional table, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, flat screen TV and DVD player.
All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities with a selection of teas, cafetiere coffee and hot chocolate.
The bathroom has a bath with power shower over, WC, towel rail, hand basin with mirror and light with shaver socket over.
There is WI-FI internet access. There is also a large selection of leaflets for tourist attractions and a small library of CD’s, DVD’s and board games.
Breakfast is served in the bedrooms or, weather permitting, outside on the terrace.

Outside

To the front of the property is the parking area with one space allocated per room.
There is a decked area with seating for guests to use at any time and weather dependent, breakfast can be served here.

Departure

Check-out is by 11am.
Balances are due for payment on departure. We accept cash or cards. Debit cards incur no fee but credit cards incur a 2% fee.
